"The Thankfulness project has been a huge asset to our learners and programme. Ferg was able to come into our hub and present to our children in a vibrant, entertaining and attention-grabbing way. Our kids were engaged and hanging off his every word. It has been such a positive influence on our hub, the rest of the school is now onboard and we are teaching Thankfulness throughout our whole school! Thanks Ferg for making this possible." - Jo Atkinson, Marshland School, Christchurch

"Dear Ferg and the team at Be Great, Thank you for the awesome School Curriculum resource. I have used it with my year 5/6 class and they have been really engaged and quite thoughtful. They particularly enjoy your video clips, always get a laugh! The resource is easy to use and designed to be as long or short as needed, depending on the needs of the students. I have seen a change in attitude in my classroom as the students start to see all they have to be grateful for. A highly recommended resource." - Laura Tomlinson, Shelly Park School, Auckland

"Hey Ferg and your Thankfulness Team, My Y4's and 5's loved the YouTube clips - they were short, snappy, got the point/s across, and had humour. It was interesting to see the shift from 'material' thankfulness to 'non-material'. (Even though as part of our Morning Routine anyway is a Thinking Challenge - and one of the challenges is to share something/one you are grateful for / thankful for! ) I encouraged whanau to participate also - and the feedback I have had is that many embraced the 'challenge' to think of 10 things they are thankful for before they got out of bed. Again, it also got adults looking and focusing on the simple things in life we take for granted. We loved the stickers - thank you."

'I used your school curriculum in my classroom for the last few weeks of Term 3. It was an absolutely fantastic way to keep things positive, not only for the students but myself as well. It was amazing to see how the students began to be able to think of things they were thankful for so much more easily as time went on. It also generated lots of amazing discussions about how much we really do have to be thankful for. We created the posters and have hung them in our windows to also encourage others to be thankful, every time they walk past our classroom. It was amazing to see the students not only learn to be thankful but to also begin to spread the message of thankfulness and really take ownership of it.

Thank you for putting this great resource together. I will be sharing it with the other staff at my school and encouraging them to use it in the classroom.'

Thanks again and I will definitely use this resource every year with my students.

Year 3 & 4

Thanks BeGreatNZ for leading the way in promoting a generation of thankful students. Our school has loved being part of Thankfulness Week 2021! Thanks for the fun, easy to follow curriculum that generated great discussions and a positive attitude for our students. They were so inspired by your videos that they had to make their own. We've enjoyed spreading our thankfulness into our community too.  SJ - Year 2-4 Ranzau School, Richmond, Nelson

Thankfulness week has put our school on a new journey! We found so many benefits for our students and teachers that we are now going to have Thankfulness Thursday every week!

The videos and lessons worked right across the year levels 0-6 and were focused on things that really resonated with us.

Thank you for such an epic resource and reminder that being thankful for the small and big things really does change our thinking. We love wearing our thankfulness glasses now and make a point of remembering just how lucky we are.

Laura, Hokowhitu school

My class really enjoyed all that was involved with thankfulness week! The curriculum that was provided by The Thankfulness Project was fun, engaging and easy to follow! It was a great way to remind us to be thankful about all that we do have and to focus less on the things we may not have or wish were different. Each day, one of our favourite things to do is have a thankfulness circle at the end of the day; it is a great way for us all to reflect and appreciate the day that we have had. Ngā mihi,  Deena, Winchester School
