Helping other people out really helps you to feel better because you’re making someone else’s life better.

Giving takes your eyes off yourself and puts them on someone else. This is very healthy for you and the person that you are about to help.

 

A gift has the power to make people change their perspective. They think’ I am valuable’bacause this person has given it to me.

 

Helping other people increases your compassion for others, is making an investment in their lives and exercises a powerful heart muscle. This is the amazing quality of giving, both the giver and receiver benefit. it gives you worth and helps you feel empowered.

 

If you want to increase the effectiveness of your giving, don’t expect anything in return, that isn’t giving, that is lending. ‘I will give you this so that you can give something back to me’ does not have the same mental healthiness associated with it.

 

Tip:

Start small. Open a door for someone, give a smile, a kind word, offer to make someone a drink, surprise your partner by doing one of ‘their jobs’. Watch the results and be inspired to start looking for the needs of others that you can meet.
